I recently wrote about positive affirmations and how we used them to get through a very trying time in our lives.
You may recall, my favorite is: “In this moment, we have everything we need.” Try it. Even in the most challenging of times, it can be very calming.
During our daily walks around our beautiful sunny neighborhood, we would also say, “I’m so happy and grateful now that…” and we’d each take turns filling in the blanks.
Here are some of the things we’d say over and over again:
I’m so happy and grateful now that you have a job that you love.
I’m so happy and grateful now that we are living our dream life.
I’m so happy and grateful now that we have everything we need.
I’m so happy and grateful now that we are able to give to others.
I’m so happy and grateful now that I’m able to make a difference.
I’m so happy and grateful now that we are healthier than ever.

The key is to feel the happiness and gratitude in your heart. Even if it’s not true in the moment, everything is first created in the mind so that’s the best place to start. Act as if.
